Elementary school and junior high school

Japanese parents with children between the ages of 6 and 15 must send their children to school.
Students from age of 6 go to elementary school, and from age of 12 to 15 to junior high school.
Foreign children can also go to Japanese elementary and junior high schools.
When a foreign resident wishes to send their child to elementary or junior high school, apply to the municipal office.
